At 74, I finally bought myself a Hasselblad, and I’m too scared to use it!

Are you afraid of dropping it? Wear it on a strap over one shoulder. Are you afraid of it being grabbed? Wear it on a strap over one shoulder. Are you afraid of losing it to an armed mugger? Well, that’s life. Are you afraid of not taking good photos? So are we all. You have a camera that is probably designed to be used brutally anywhere on the planet. Use it and enjoy it. That’s the philosophy I use for my D2X. Which, admittedly, is probably worth a lot less than your Hasselblad but still very tough camera. Enjoy your life. It’s only a camera. If you lose it, buy something cheap and keep moving. Gear doesn’t matter, remember? 😉
