Regarding the battery of the OneR on the One RS case, it’s important to note that the unit lacks the pressure locking all the pieces together which compromises the waterproofness of it.

I’m not sure what Insta360’s official word would be on that, but I’ve for sure used it in that setup in the water and it’s been great🤷♂ You’re right though that they recommend only going in the water when the camera is in the cage so the parts don’t pull apart and get water on the connector pins👍
There are 2 things, that can’t be interchanged 🙂 The old audio interface does not work with the new core. The new audio interface does not work with the old core.
Man, that too! Hahaha! I don’t use the audio interface, so didn’t think to test them, but solid point!
@David Manning The new audio interface is better in every way anyhow, as you can charge AND have an external mic. So it’s worthwhile the investment, if one wants that feature.

What about external audio is that a thing or is it just internal only? I like the idea of the module system but not being able to insert a SD card into it is kind of massive loss, especially if you put this outside of a car and it fills up while driving. Also is the card reader only lightening or do they sell a different version for Android?
Wait, maybe I misspoke about the reader. You can put an SD card in the ONE RS, but you can also use the external reader. So you have both options with the ONE RS👍

Still thinking of getting this camera if I can justify it to myself. Between the OneX2 , the Go2 and the Gopro 10 I think I’m covered so it would definitely be an extreme vanity purchase. Cool bragging rights for a hobbyist. Just got a capsule powerbank for the Go2 (actually meant for the Oculus)
Please let everyone know, so what happened to me and a lot of other motovloggers. They are out of stock of their mic adapter and no other mic adapters work on the One RS. They do not have an estimate on when they will have a supply of them. So, consider this camera unable to use external mic for the foreseeable future
I think they underestimated the demand for this thing! People jumped all over this camera at launch!

I totally get that perspective, but I also disagree. The footage coming out of this thing is good and in the first video I showed that. The difference between the ONE RS and something like a GoPro really isn’t that much in the footage or audio, it’s in form factor. The points worth saying really have to do with that. Point noted though and I’ll make sure to get more footage in there for you Melchi👍

I tried getting the GoPro floaty onto the ONE RS, but you could see the orange in the 360 footage. Figured I would risk it for the biscuit!
I have the One RS with the 4K boost mod and the 360 mod HOWEVER I am contemplating buying the 1” Leica mod. Would be good to see a comparison in a vlogging scenario to see if the 1” is worth getting – as it’s around £290 to buy on its own. If it does make a decent difference then I will buy it.
Solid idea! I’ll work with the 4K vs the 1″ and see how much of a difference there is. Possible video coming soon!

Yep, works perfectly! Technically, it’s the lens that turns the other way in the case. The Core Mod stays facing the same way👍

Great update video. I really wish that they had more of the lenses and mic adapters in stock for the One RS. I’d recommend getting the Twin Edition instead of being like me and opting for the $299 Boost lens option only.
