Get your Hasselblad 90v at B&H
Today Hasselblad finally released the long waited for 90v f/2.5 lens. Revealed in 2015, it has taken them a while to get this through production, but the result is well worth the wait. As a brief telephoto, the 90v is an excellent picture lens and rather honestly is far better than the previous 80mm f/1.9.

Nice if we could even get hold of one !
God bless you Ted
“the problem is, lenses are made by engineers” 😀
Thank goodness that they do.
Thanks for the review. I loved the images. The picture at 4:33 is something I will like to show to many photographers that insist you can’t take pictures with the Nikon AF system. Not to humiliate them, antagonize them or make them switch brands but to help them have faith in human capabilities: if we work and learn we are able to accomplish wonders. I am sure many of them, as we all do, put imaginary fences around what we can achieve.
Great Video! A few videos back you mentioned the possibility of adapting your Fujified/Kodakified (happy owner of both!) for in-camera on the Nikon Zf. Is that something that is even technically possible to do? Thanks for your time Mr. Forbes.
I saw that these were out at long last today. I was wondering how you might see it comparing to the 80/1.9 that you loved so much – question answered, thank you.

Dynamic range at ISO 100 is just under 12 EV, about the same as the Sony A7RIV, A7RIVA and A7RV which have the same sensor tech as the X2D.
Just ordered my 90v from Hasselblad for my X2D. After having seen this review I am even more excited-should have it my hands in 7days. Even B&H does not have it yet, but I have been monitoring the Hasselblad store frequently.
I want to see Hasselblad make a upgraded X2DII or X3D with an EVF with higher resolution and a joystick. My 2 favorite Lenses is the 28mm 2.8 P and the 90mm 2.5
No joysticks please – horrid things.
Oh la la 😮
Nice review. Certainly on my (Lotto) wish list. I find it very interesting that the focal lengths, or should I say, angle of view, is very close to a certain trio of small, fast, beautifully made primes for a certain manufacturer that is not one of the big boys now, and that is Pentax! The 31mm, 43mm and 77mm Limiteds. With the ‘Blad V lenses and multiply by 0.8 for 35mm equivalence, and you get 30.4mm for the 38mm, 44mm for the 55mm and 72mm for the 90mm. Really close to be honest. I shall call them the MF Limiteds as they are also small light (for MF) and produce beautiful images, just like the Pentax trio. 🙂 Now just to find the cash to buy an X2D and the three V lenses.
Was the camera given to you for review, loaned for review, or did you buy it?
How many Wide Angle lenses is there avail . And when are they going to release a 600mm
Wow I just got my X2D yesterday and Hasselblad releases this new firmware today, talk about perfect timing.
none of this stuff makes a good photographer
