    1. Hmm use this camera for some days and it will start giving errors (storage error) currently using Go 2 and can’t record for more than 3 minutes formatted camera twice it is running on latest software. Tried contacting customer care section at first no response when finally got resposne their amazing answer is format your camera and update it to the latest software, weird thing is that after doing all this tried contacting again, another person speak up and said the same thing

    1. I think they made skins for the GO 2. Would be solid to be able to black it out!

    2. In the sun that would cause it to get hotter and shutdown even quicker due to overheating? Overheating has always been Go series issue which occurs when attempting to record for several minutes in a row.

  1. I love how it’s very unobtrusive. At first I wasn’t sure about the new pod design due to it being so much bigger than the old one. But now I’ve been using it for a bit I’ve changed my mind. It’s great for framing stuff in awkward angles as you say, and also so you can make sure head cam and chest mount stuff is lined up where it should be. It also makes changing the settings really easy as well. Now I just have to get my own review finished!

    1. Totally agree! The ability to frame your shot is amazing. Even head mounted, sometimes I’m a little high or a little low. With the Action Pod, I can do a quick check and I’m good to go!

  2. Footage of your kids definitely highlighted its best use case. To have a camera even less intrusive and involved than a phone is just perfect for young parents.

  3. The explanation behind the use case for this camera is literally perfect. The flip up screen is such an amazing little feature and as soon as you said “I’m surprised someone else hasn’t thought of this”. I was thinking the exact same thing!

I have a question for you regarding the battery set up for the Go 3 and the new housing it has. Does the Go 3 Charge while in the housing off the battery located within it. Or, does the Go 3 camera module bypass the internal battery in the camera and use the battery within the housing?

Let me paint a picture… I have used 30 mins of battery, put the camera in the housing to film something however when I take the camera back out of the housing, its still on the same battery level as it was when I stuck it into the housing?

Great video as always David, keep them coming!

  4. I had it in the shopping cart ready click… but no 4K? Geez… I had such high hopes. Oh well… loved the review… and loved seeing the family growing up. Thanks for keeping it real and being one the goodest humans we know.

    1. 4k is not that important, its more about sensor size and bitrate. 1080p can look great on a 4k 75″ TV.

  5. I love my Go 2 and now I’m going to have to get a Go 3! Thanks for the great review.

  6. Always excited for a new upload! You make it so relevant to us when you talk about the day to day life capture. Thank you for that!!

  7. This is an awesome run and gun travel vlog cam, I can see myself just having this on a cap, or my shirt. so quick to capture something spontaneous that I may miss trying to get my phone out or my OG osmo action let alone my big camera.

I’m curious is there a USB C on the cam itself? reason I ask is could this be rigged to have constant power through a small battery bank to improve its run time. I honestly didn’t think I would need another piece of gear, however this fills in the gaps that other gear can’t do as well. Nice review as always David!

    1. No, only usb c on the Action Pod bit. Would be sweet to see a magnetic mount that had a cable attached that you could plug in power to so the camera itself could just magnet on and be charging

  8. Wow so amazing on what they have improved
    Great video as always
    Keep up the good work

  9. Wow , you, Casey and IJustine came out at same time with same camera. . Looks really cool and fun to use

  10. Was so interested in the last version but thought they could improve it even more and they did! Definitely picking this up. As a parent of two boys you are spot on with how useful this will be taking videos with the fam!

  11. The flip out screen in a action camera is killer innovation…i see lots of vloggers using this camera when they dont want to carry a big camera for vlogging….will you recommend this for vlogging ?

  12. wow, looks great, looks like I might have to buy another camera! I don’t have the go 2. as I travel a bit it is nice to take small form cameras. thanks

  13. The flip-up screen is probably a large part of why the ‘action pod’ is not fully waterproof, and that is probably why you won’t find a flip-up screen on things like GoPro. Unless they figure out a way to do it and keep the camera fully waterproof.

  14. 8:25 It looks more than a little silly. 🙂 But I agree with you that it does look like one of the best hands free options out there to capture moments. I just bought a GoPro for my first action camera for an upcoming road race. This would have been perfect for that, but I think the GoPro will be better for my first camera.

  15. The only issue I have with the Go series is the color. I wear black most of the time and it would be great to have the camera blend in more with my shirt or hat as opposed to this white device that creates so much contrast, it draws attention to it. Why won’t they make a black version?!

  16. i do like how tiny it still is, but the extra run time is awesome, there is so much to like about this little camera, maybe i=this is the one i have been looking for – for the longest time. i like how it doesn’t intrude on you making memories. awesome video as always.
    have yourself a brilliant week.

  17. I think at this price this is a very expensive toy 😅I understand that the selling point of this camera is the size but for someone who wants the best image quality, the GoPro 11 costs about the same and it is so much better!
