    1. Dude, super impressive speed Jacob! You have the bell on for notifications?

  1. Over heats way too quickly by all accounts. Can’t be considered a fx3 mini.

    1. Absolutely the main weakness of this camera. Hopefully be June the new firmware will get us seeing 30-45 mins at 4K 120 and no overheating at all when at 4K60. That would make this SUPER appealing

    2. @David Manning hopefully otherwise to me it wouldn’t justify the $2200 usd they want for it. I have heard creditable info there is a fx3 mk2 coming soon though. Hoping that is true

  2. I think this is a dope camera to put on a fpv cinelifter. Fx3 quality for less weight and less of a money lose if you crash it

    1. Oh man, any sort of drone application or gimbal application and this thing would be amazing!!! Just gotta keep overheating in mind for the situation

    2. @David Manning overheating won’t be an issue on a drone. For one, flight time of a cinelifter won’t be long enough for the overheating to occur. Also when flying you get a ton of natural cooling from the wind since the drone flies quite fast. This is indeed in many ways one of the best cameras available right now for cinelifter use.

  3. Super interested in how the new framing feature could work for product b-roll. Idk if I have seen that yet.

    1. The stabilization and auto tracking on this camera are absolutely next level! I just wish that when Sony released these features on their lower level cameras, they would trickle them up to their other cameras. Would be awesome to have a firmware update on the A7Siii and FX3 that could add those features!

    2. @David Manning I would hope so! I have an a7IV but I would love to see some additional features there too!

  4. It gets hot here in the South… I’m thinking it won’t record 4K 60 for long clips when it’s summer time here. Anyone that shoots 120 long clips is probably a psycho….

    1. Hopefully by summer, they’ll have that firmware humming and keeping things a bit cooler!

  5. The Sony marketing machinery at work…nope…I’ll keep my FX30 for now…

    1. Hahhaa! I agree, but it’s pretty cool that they’re taking the guts that they know create insanely good imagery and encasing them in different bodies for different niches at different price points. Wild that you can get the same image quality as an FX3 for $2,199🤯

    1. Interesting! They have some insane new AutoFocus tracking for animals, but I didn’t test whether or not the AutoReframing would work on animals. I assume that it would because it’s using the tracking feature to frame, but I’ll test that in the future if I can get my hands on this camera again
