These are my camera settings for the Fujifilm X-T5, but what you'll find is that these settings can be used to a lot of other Fujifilm electronic cameras, old and brand-new. These are settings for how I like to approach street photography. They won't always work for you, however if you need a place to start hopefully this can assist.

Excellent, thanks for this topic.
Love the vibe you’re transporting in your videos^^ And of course, thanks for sharing your thoughts and perspectives about your settings ☺️
i use a canon 1Dx 2 for street photo, but i always like hearing you talk about camera stuff. thanks.
Great video Faizal 👍gonna try some of this stuff 🙂 wish Fuji would implement a 4:3 aspect ratio in the menu 🙁

Hey! Great work. I have a beginners level question, I don’t have fujifilm yet (blame the budget) but I’d just like to know if you use any grid when taking pictures and if so which one do you use. Thanks and I love your photography and videos.
Great idea to get rid of all the functions. Specifically I hit accidentally the Dpad on my XT2 all the time. Never considered to assign nothing to it
Fuji users tends to over dramatize their camera settings lens and camera type way too much, too much focused on the gear instead of photography itself.
Quite the opposite, usually.
Great tips! I’ve had my xt5 for about a month and I’m still tweaking the setting but this has helped me get a lot closer to something I’ll settle on.
Quick question… do you shoot with your glasses on? I’ve found that it’s actually easier to see the viewfinder with the eyepiece removed from the camera. It allows me to get closer to it while wearing glasses. With it on, I need to be at the perfect angle so the edges aren’t masking the image. Curious if you’ve tried this or have any thoughts?
Absolutely ❤️❤️
i like how you fiddle with the exposure compensation at the end of the video after explaining it doesn’t do anything :))) great video keep it up <3
Love ur vidéo but stop vocal fry like that pls…..
Nice video as usual Faizal. I tend to shoot in the same modes – especially aperture priority however you are missing a trick by setting shutter speed to auto and then set the base shutter speed in the auto ISO setting – let it bottom out at around 1/250 (or whatever) and then your only variable is ISO. It will only drop below that if there is too little light and the ISO has maxxed.
Hi Faizal, thnx for the tips how you set-up ur XT5 👍🏼 You mentioned that you use Astia in ur liveview ánd you use it in LR. I also like Astia, how do you make sure that Astia is the setting for ur liveview and how do you apply it in LR when you shoot in RAW? So mainly…what is ur workflow concerning getting the “Astia-look”? Furthermore I don’t have presets (yet) in LR, how/where do I get them in LR, or are they already somewhere in LR? Thnx!
would love to see the video side of xt5 too, since you said you got this because you wanted a photo & video camera by not bringing the sony and fuji together, just one camera to do it all
Nice video, Faizal! Very simple and straighforward. Even though the fewer buttons on the xe4 seemed a negative at first, I find I’m focussing more on the aspect of taking pictures instead of dealing with dials/buttons. I’m also very curious how you set up your xt5 for video. Are you planning to do a video on that too?
Do you use zone focusing when shooting full manual?
One thing I really like about Fuji is how you can turn on or off information around the screen. A few weeks ago I almost switched to Sony and one of the things I immediately missed was this ability. They do have a button to switch between view modes, some with LOTS of info and some with minimal info. But the ability to just turn off individual things is so nice!
