    1. I’ll need to get my hands on an a6400 to make that happen, but I can tell you right away that the a6700 is in a different league than the a6400

    1. With the ZV-E1 out there, I would tend to agree, but I think this hits a certain price point for a lower market that delivers some insane quality for that price

    2. @David Manning Probably yes David, but for my starting YT channel I prefer to go with smartphone camera and wait when I can afford the ZV-E1 that will assure a great bokeh effect

  1. I knew it would be a nice camera. I’m happy so far with my new Fujifilm X-S20. Has probably the same sensor and a better LCD. That AI chip would be fun though

    1. Might be the screen you’re watching on. They’re intentionally low contrast because this is the S-Cinetone footage straight out of camera, but for sure not overexposed. That first shot is backlit, so it has that vibe for sure

    2. They do look a bit washed out and over exposed. But watching on a phone. I’ll find out soon I ordered one. I’ll look at it on my new photography channel 😊

  2. ItΒ΄s just another camera…
All the new “features” donΒ΄t sum up for bying another camera (for me).
The story like ” it will be in a future firmware update” is just a story. Good marketing nothing else.
I got a A9II and NOTHING major ever came with a firmware update and that camera ainΒ΄t cheap…

  3. is it a good idea to invest in a sony 70-200 gm ii for my a6100??? .looking forward to shooting sports and street photography

    1. I’m always a big believer of investing in great glass! Lenses will last 10-15 years if taken care of and bodies have about 3-5 years in them before they’re pretty outdated. BUT, I’m not sure I would go full frame glass on the a6100 unless you plan on moving to a full frame camera down the line

    2. @David Manning yes I plan on upgrading to full frame in the future that’s why.

  4. Great job on the video David! Thanks for making it. I love how your enthusiasm seems very sincere.

    1. Thanks man, this camera is pretty dang sweet! Super bummed I didn’t get to keep it though. Might be ordering this or the FX30 pretty soon though!

    2. @David Manning I’m torn. I’ve been saving up for the FX30 for some time, just because I wanted to upgrade my a6400 for school (I’m a film student) but I also love taking pictures so I was kind of hoping for something more hybrid-like. My plan was to get the FX30, use my a6400 as a b-cam, and then upgrade to a better hybrid camera once I started making some actual money with my gear. I will still want the FX30 for the thermal management and dual card slots, but now I’m thinking I should just buy this one now, still use the a6400 as my b-cam, and then trade that one in once I have money scraped together for the dedicated cinema camera.

  5. Can you use digital on the Sony ecm-b1m mic on this camera? Or do you still need to keep it in analog? Btw I use the 16-55 lens on my a6600. I love that lens!

  6. $1,499 sounds absolutely fantastic. Any idea when it’ll be available for purchase from like Amazon/Best Buy?

  7. Sony’s small form factor has me so jealous. I’m a Canon guy but this thing packs a punch

  8. I’m confused between Fujifilm xh2 vs xh2s vs xt5. What’s Your opinion on this? πŸ₯²

  9. Love this quick yet detailed review David! You’re the first to highlight the slight offset of the screen when opened, hopefully it’s not too obvious when used. Still considering if I should upgrade to this from my A6400 or go full frame πŸ˜…

  10. Hey Dave, I’m using the A6400 for the past couple of years, should I upgrade??

  11. Your dedication to your craft is truly admirable, keep it up.
