π€ππ€ππ₯π«Άπ this is awesome! Love your videos Kai!!!
Enjoy the videos. Thanks my friend. Could you add a link to the product? Would really appreciate it. Cheers
It will have to be around the 50 quid mark if it’s going to be worthwhile otherwise may as well buy a dedicated screen or indeed spend a little extra on an Atmos. Nice idea and should have been available years ago. Wonder what price will be.
Β£179, according to Amazon, apparently.
its $179
Β£150-200 online that I can find
Wow, wasn’t expecting that much…maybe it’ll come down over time.
I still think there will be demand for it but Iβd get a secondhand Atmos if it’s that expensive. There’s currently a 7 inch Neewer monitor on sale for 72 quid!
A dirt cheap USB HDMI capture card is like 60$ Canadian on it’s own 180$ isn;t unreasonable what with the extra powering options and the likes. We also don;t know what the chipsets compression is like. Really wish he would have gone into more detail about the bitrate of the record 1080p files .
Wow, that is cool!
Hey Kai! Weird question, I know, but how is the Patagonia jacket? Was thinking about getting one. Nice video!
Kai, I love your content, but don’t give these Apple users any mind. I wish you would have reviewed the original one for Android.
Love your stuff. Thanks. But, um, wouldn’t Apple just think you should use only the iPhone as you vlog camera? Zero latency for sure. I think.
THAT is a bloody good point.
This is amazing! Exactly what i’ve been waiting for. Does it also provide power to the iphone? Would be good to know how it compares against the Monitor plus App and the Raveneye + Ronin app as phone monitoring solutions.
$180 for an adapter is pretty steep.
Does it work for Android as well?
And as an extra bonus, the monitor can call emergency service when you drop it
interesting item, i am travelling across the world multiple times a year so this is looking really yummy as far as freeing up room in my luggage!
but then you brought up the gaming thing at the end & now i NEED one lol
Seem like a great idea! The Ploprof looks great too.
179.99 for an adapter. Man they really believe people who drag around camera equipment will pay for convenience. And itβs not really that convenient, gotta turn incoming calls off or youβre going to be interrupted constantly.
Would be cool if the system could use the Lidar sensor in the phone to supplement the camera’s autofocus
Can we use that for tethering for photography?
can you use it to record stuff too from the iphone? like to an atmos?
The 1080p recroding ot the phone is great for cameras that have the hardcap. I don;t do a lot of longer recordings so dropping 800$ Canadian an a ninja V for the one or two shoots a year where I need one seems a little wasteful.
200$ to use my Android phone on the other hand (yes, there is an android version of this).
If you are someone who needs to do a long recording on an older DSLR for your kids play … 1080p isn;t bad unless the bit rate is utter garbage.
I’m just curious about bitrate, audio compression and so on so forth. Kind of sad you didn;t go into more detail on the technical specs of the video files.
I found a few Atomos wannabe devices … some of them seem actually decentish like the ClonerAlliance ViewPro (it’s rebadged under a few other names as well). I think a ocmparison of a ClonerAlliance ViewPro VS an Atomos Ninja VS Accsoon SeeMo would be an interesting video.
The question is, on the a7iv can you shoot in 4K 30 and/or 1080p 100fps on the camera but still output this to the monitor as only supports HD?
What we really need: An app, that accepts this signal for livestreaming over cellular connection directly from your phone!
